Our mission is to support Iran policies and decisions that promote a democratic change in Iran.
As Iranians-Americans, and because we should, our community is concerned about the lack of most basic
human rights in Iran. We have great concerns over the Iranian regime's increasingly belligerent policies,
especially its destructive role in Iraq and its destabilizing maneuvers in the middle east and its support for
international terrorism. The Iranian regime's plans to obtain nuclear weapons and its open threats further adds
to our concerns.
Our belief is that neither war nor appeasement of the dictators in Iran will solve the Iranian issue threat. We
believe that the most effective, least costly, and plausible approach to confront the Iranian regime is to
support the "third option", i.e. to support the Iranian people.
Accordingly, SCSDI works to:
1. Organize Iranians and Americans in order to help inform and educate both the community and our elected
officials.
2. Expose Iranian Regime's Human Rights Violations, Including its Misogynous Treatment of Women.
3. Collaborate with other Iranian and U.S. Organizations, NGOs, Human Rights Organizations, Think-tanks,
Civic and Religious Establishments, and Governmental Organizations to advance the cause of democracy in
Iran and help secure America.
4. Organize Cultural and Social Events
